Steamed oriental rice with vegetables

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • Red onions 2 pcs.
  • Peppers 2 pcs.
  • Carrot 1 pcs.
  • Leek green part ½
  • Broccoli ½ cup
  • Canned chickpeas 1 tin (without water approx. 200g)
  • Rapeseed oil 5 tbsp
  • Jasmine or basmati white rice 2 cups
  • Sweet paprika 1 tbsp
  • Curry dry spice 2 tbsp
  • Salt, pepper to taste
  • Water 3 cups

Method:

  • Cut vegetables into small pieces and transfer them to a bowl.
  • Add rice, oil, seasoning and combine them thoroughly.
  • Place them in a heatproof dish.
  • Pour in the measured water and mix well.
  • Cook on the Steam cooking programme / P01S cycle.
  • After removing from the oven, garnish with your favourite herbs.
  • We would recommend adding chives or coriander.

Chef's suggestion:

If you want, you can combine the dish with your favourite meat or replace it with smoked tofu. It will be This dish is perfect as a side dish or as a stand-alone meal.
