Roasted potatoes with bacon and thyme

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • Potatoes 500 g
  • Onions 2 pcs.
  • Smoked bacon 150 g
  • Salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme to taste

Method:

  • Peel the potatoes and cut them into slices or wedges.
  • Dice the onion and bacon, then fry it on a low heat.
  • Mix with the potatoes.
  • Season to taste. Set Steaming + Grill / P02S cycle.
  • Serve the potatoes with fresh thyme or rosemary.

Chef's suggestion:

Fat is a carrier of flavour. If you want a fit version of the dish, replace the bacon with vegetable oil, add sweet potatoes and more onions. Red potatoes or sweet potatoes will be crispier with the skin on. Add fresh herbs at the very end of the cooking process. This allows to maintain the freshness and colour during cooking.
