Apples with raisins from a jar

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • Hard, sour apples 6 pcs.
  • Raisins 3 tbsp
  • Cinnamon ½ tsp
  • Lemon ½ pcs.
  • Cider vinegar optionally to taste
  • Sugar 5 tbsp
  • Butter 2 tbsp

Method:

  • Peel and dice apples, sprinkle with lemon juice.
  • Soak raisins in warm water.
  • In a frying pan, fry half of the apples in butter, adding cinnamon and sugar. After about 10 minutes, add the other half of the apples and cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Pour the mixture into jars, close tightly and pasteurize by setting Reheating and pasteurization / P03S cycle.

Chef's suggestion:

Steaming jars in the oven protects preserves for a long time. Sour products will have a shelf life of up to one year.
