Roasted buckwheat with mushrooms and onions

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • Red onions 2 pcs.
  • Pepper 1 pcs.
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Curry dy spice 1tbsp
  • Buckwheat 500 g
  • White rice 500 g
  • Water 1 l
  • Sweet paprika 1 tbsp
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method:

  • Finely dice onions and cut mushrooms into quarters.
  • Fry in butter with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Transfer to an heatproof dish.
  • Add groats, stir, pour in water and season to taste.
  • Steam on the Steam cooking / P01S cycle for 40 minutes.
  • Garnish with your favourite herb - parsley, thyme or marjoram.

Chef's suggestion:

When frying the onions, gently caramelise them until golden. Fried onions bring sweetness and flavour to the dish. Caution - heavily caramelised onions can make the dish taste bitter.
