Ingredients (serves 4)
- Red onions 6 pcs.
- Butter 2 tbsp
- Red dry wine 200 ml
- Cider vinegar 30 ml
- Sugar 70 g
- Cinnamon stick 1 pcs.
Method:
- Slice the red onions.
- In a frying pan, fry onions with butter. After about 10 minutes, pour in wine and cider vinegar.
- Season to taste with sugar and cinnamon. Cook over low heat for about 15 minutes.
- Pour the mixture into jars, close tightly and pasteurize by setting Reheating and pasteurization / P03S cycle.

Red onion confiture is ideal for sandwiches, meats and pâtés.
