Red onion confiture

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • Red onions 6 pcs.
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Red dry wine 200 ml
  • Cider vinegar 30 ml
  • Sugar 70 g
  • Cinnamon stick 1 pcs.


  • Slice the red onions.
  • In a frying pan, fry onions with butter. After about 10 minutes, pour in wine and cider vinegar.
  • Season to taste with sugar and cinnamon. Cook over low heat for about 15 minutes.
  • Pour the mixture into jars, close tightly and pasteurize by setting Reheating and pasteurization / P03S cycle.

Red onion confiture is ideal for sandwiches, meats and pâtés.
