Caramelised carrots

  • Induction hob
  • Cooking cycle: Precise melting (40°C)
  • Vege

Ingredients (serves: 2)

  • Baby carrots 1 kg
  • Salt 1 tbsp
  • Olive oil 1 tbsp
  • Butter ¼ pack
  • Honey 3 tbsp
  • Sugar 2 tbsp

Method:

  • Peel carrots, but keep the leaves cutting them to about 2 cm long.
  • Cook the carrots for 15 minutes in salted water.
  • Turn on Melting cycle (40°C) on your Amica induction hob.
  • Pour olive oil into a pan and add butter. Wait until it is well combined.
  • Add cooked carrots, fry on the hob for 20 minutes until the carrots have absorbed the oil.
  • Pour honey over the carrots, sprinkle with sugar and fry again for 20 minutes so they are covered in caramel.

Serving:

An ideal dish as an appetizer or snack. The green leaves will not get browned, keeping the carrots looking fresh all the time.
